I've painted most of the detail parts of the engine and started doing some detailing with fine wire to represent hoses, wires, etc.

This is supposed to sit flat on top of the block. A lot of the chrome pieces have these bizarre molding legs that need to be cut/filed off. Fortunately the flaws that are left behind will be hidden when glued onto the engine. |

Close-up of the blower test fitted to engine. This whole assembly will need a wash with thinned black paint to bring out the details and make it look more realistic. It's just a shiny silver mass right now. |
