Build of Testors Lincoln Mint 1932 Ford Roadster, kit no. 7121

I started on the engine by cutting pieces off the trees. A sprue cutter, also called a flush cutter, takes the pieces off with little excess plastic and won't damage the parts. The pieces still needed a little sanding. Instructions are clear but I wish they labelled the parts like they used to in the old days, ie engine block, cylinder head, starter, etc. I learned a lot about planes and cars with those old kits.

I found out my new tube of Testors glue was either bad, or won't work on the plastic the parts were molded from. I am going to buy a container of Tamiya Plastic Cement and try that.

After the glue set I noticed the pieces were loose. This is what the dry plastic cement looked like, a strange peach color and the parts were not welded together by the solvent in the glue. Hmmm... I'm going to try super glue until I can buy some Tamiya Plastic Cement
